Advanced Quality Control for Roads Construction Projects

Introduction

This course is designed to enhance managerial and technical skills of the participants responsible for planning, managing and supervising road construction projects for more efficient, effective and high standard road construction works. It also focuses on up-to-date knowledge of quality standard and quality control issues of construction property as well as work processes in all construction phases that lead to better quality of road works.

Quality control activities should be conducted throughout the course of the project.  Calculations, estimates, etc. must be checked immediately so that errors are not perpetuated.  The checker must have a similar or greater level of experience as the originator, should be a member of the project team familiar with the details of the project, and must be familiar with the type of work proposed for the project.
