Introduction
One of the critical outcomes of contract and project management is to ensure that risks to owners and contractor are identified and controlled in a proactive way so that both parties are satisfied with the project outcome. While world class project and contract management cannot, of itself, make risk “go away”, it can, and should, identify the risks and opportunities, determine who is responsible for managing each individual risk, and for the consequences should the risk occur.
During the Operations Phase, the contract management and monitoring; providing for the governance, structure and function of contract management; and the contract management team. The principles of the governance, structure, and function remain the same throughout the Operations Phase. However, during the Operations Phase, key actions for the contract monitoring team change, covering areas such as managing payment regimes, including insurance and utilities, acting on the results of customer surveys, looking for continuous improvement in the service, and performance monitoring.

Who Should Attend?
Personnel who are seeking in-depth knowledge at managing their contractual
partners who are executing their projects during the Operations Phase. The course is designed to provide project management concepts and tools as well as contract
during the Operations Phase provisions and conditions that will enable the
collaboration with the contractors efficiently. IACT has been reviewed and
approved by the PMI® Authorized Training Partner Program. This course is worth 30 Professional Development Units (PDUs).
Course Methodology
The course uses self-assessments and a wide mix of business cases that promote healthy discussions around the importance of managing multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities. Participants will benefit from role plays covering workplace challenges related to handling tasks, deadlines and priorities. They will learn how to deal with conflicts that may arise as a result. Interactive team exercises are also used with each team presenting their findings and comments.
