Introduction

Quality management has evolved into a career sought by many around the world. Knowledge Management for Quality Management has evolved to cover leadership, communication, strategy, technical skills in quality, project management, and many other competencies. This course aims to develop these skills and provide participants with tools and methodologies. The tools and methodologies most commonly used by quality specialists will be highlighted. Also, some leadership qualities that all quality specialists will have to demonstrate will be highlighted. This course will also present the team development skills that the quality team must undergo. Using a combination of skills and different applications is the ultimate goal of this unique course.

This fact remains true in the business world as well where different teams strive to meet the quality benchmark set by the stakeholders for a wide set of projects. The main principle of project quality management remains to ensure that the project meets or exceeds stakeholders' needs and expectations. In this course, we will cover the three main components of Quality Management- Quality planning, Quality assurance, and Quality control.

Course Methodology

The course uses self-assessments and a wide mix of business cases that promote healthy discussions around the importance of managing multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities. Participants will benefit from role plays covering workplace challenges related to handling tasks, deadlines and priorities. They will learn how to deal with conflicts that may arise as a result. Interactive team exercises are also used with each team presenting their findings and comments.  

Each module covers different aspects of using Game-Based Learning and Gamification in education. Coursework will incorporate your existing knowledge and experience and provide helpful learning environment with a good mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. On all outlines will apply Skills for Game-Based Learning and Gamification and practiced in hands-on, collaborative way within an international group setting.

DAY 2: 

Define and recognize quality project management theory and terminology

Þ Identify the general characteristics of quality project management models

Þ Demonstrate an awareness of the role of quality management in organizations

DAY 3  :

Identify how organizational culture and structure, stakeholder management, project management maturity levels, and enterprise environmental factors can influence a project

Þ Define the roles of stakeholders, sponsors, project managers, team leaders, and team members on projects

Þ Describe the importance of aligning project objectives with organizational missions

Þ Identify self-awareness regarding your existing strengths and weaknesses related to project management

 

 

DAY 4 :

 Identify the role of leadership in Quality Project Management

Þ Describe the importance and contents of a project management plan

Þ Describe effective approaches to forming a project team

Þ Identify the value and contents of a project charter and scope statement

Þ Identify the role that personal and organizational values play in the development of projects

Þ Identify the tools used for quality assurance, control, and improvement

 

DAY 5 :

Practice identifying project process

Þ Define the role of Gantt charts and critical path in project management

Þ Define effective Team building at the program level

Þ Define effective communication strategies for the project team

Þ Describe the quality project tools used for collecting and understanding data

Þ Identify project executing and analyzing processes

Þ Identify strategies in managing program change

Þ Identify the role and function of risk management within projects

Þ Identify risk factors that might impact projects and how to prioritize, and analyze them

Þ Describe the project tools used for solving problems

Þ Demonstrate a clear understanding of how quality management is integrated into the define, measurement, analyze, improve/design, and control/verify phases of a project
